📢 Vacant Positions Available (Locum Basis):

1. Gynecologist

  • Working Days: Monday and Tuesday

  • OPD Per Day Rate: PKR 12,000

  • Surgery Rate: Up to PKR 15,000 (depending on case complexity)

2. General Surgeon

  • Working Days: Wednesday and Thursday

  • OPD Per Day Rate: PKR 12,000

  • Surgery Rate: Up to PKR 15,000

3. Pediatrician

  • Working Days: Tuesday and Thursday

  • OPD Per Day Rate: PKR 12,000

4. Anesthetist

  • Working Days: Tuesday and Thursday (Surgery Days)

  • Per Case Rate: PKR 5,000


📘 Program Overview:

The IRMNCH & Nutrition Program aims to improve access to quality reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) services. By offering these specialist positions on a locum basis, the government ensures continuity of care at rural health centers (RHCs), tehsil headquarter hospitals (THQs), and district headquarter hospitals (DHQs), especially in underserved areas.

Doctors hired through this initiative will serve only on specified days as outlined above and will be remunerated accordingly. These positions are non-transferable, facility-specific, and evaluated monthly based on need and performance Nutrition Program Punjab .


🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements to be eligible:

  • Domicile: Punjab

  • Required Qualification:

    • FCPS

    • MS

    • MD

    • MCPS

    • DCH (for Pediatrician)

    • DA (for Anesthetist)

    • DGO (for Gynecologist)

    • OR any equivalent foreign qualification recognized and registered with PMDC/PMC

Applicants must have valid registration and certification from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), depending on their credentials Nutrition Program Punjab .

This locum engagement is an ongoing process, which means eligible candidates can apply at any time. Applications will be evaluated monthly by the department, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted accordingly.


📌 Important Guidelines & Conditions:

To ensure transparency and merit-based recruitment, the following rules apply:

  1. Locum Basis Engagement:
    These positions are offered purely on a temporary locum basis, and services are tied to specific health facilities and specific days only.

  2. Facility-Specific and Non-Transferable:
    Doctors selected will be appointed to a particular health facility. No transfers or facility changes will be permitted.

  3. Duty Days Fixed:
    Each specialty has pre-defined duty days (as mentioned above). Changes to duty days are not allowed.

  4. Online Applications Only:
    Only those who apply through the official online portal will be considered for shortlisting.

  5. Document-Based Evaluation:
    The scrutiny committee will evaluate candidates based on the information and documents uploaded during online submission.

  6. Shortlisting & Interview:
    Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. Communication will be made via official phone calls, SMS, or email.

  7. Original Documents Required:
    Shortlisted candidates must present their original documents and a set of attested photocopies during the interview process.

  8. Fake Documents Lead to Disqualification:
    Submission of false, tampered, or misleading documents will lead to permanent disqualification from the program.

  9. No TA/DA Provided:
    No travel allowance or daily allowance will be paid to candidates for appearing in interviews.

  10. Essential Services Compliance:
    Selected doctors must acknowledge that their services may fall under the Punjab Essential Services (Maintenance) Act, 1958, as well as the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) Act.

  11. Biometric Attendance Mandatory:
    Doctors must record their attendance using digital biometric apps or devices. Locum fees will only be disbursed upon verified attendance.

  12. Department Rights Reserved:
    The number of available locum positions may be increased or decreased at any time without prior notice.

  13. Final Terms at Time of Engagement:
    All final terms and conditions, including workload and scheduling, will be shared on the date of actual engagement.

  14. Policy-Based Engagement:
    All appointments will be made in line with departmental policies and strategic requirements.

  15. IRMNCH & P&SHD Decisions Final:
    All decisions regarding eligibility, shortlisting, and engagement rest solely with the Program and Department authorities and shall be considered final.
